A few thoughtful guidelines to help us make your Surjivan experience comfortable, safe and enjoyable, while preserving the peaceful and eco-conscious character of the resort.

Accommodation for maids, drivers and attendants may be arranged at the applicable tariff. Unregistered or unpaid drivers and attendants are not permitted inside the resort premises.

Dining & Meal Timings

Morning Tea 7:00 – 7:30 AM
Breakfast 8:30 – 9:30 AM
Lunch 1:30 – 2:30 PM
Evening Tea 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Dinner 8:30 – 9:30 PM
All meals are served at Chaubara, the Dining Hall.
For hygiene reasons, food is not served inside the cottages.
Drinking water is available from 20-litre bottles placed at the water coolers.
One-litre bottled water may be purchased separately at the applicable resort rate.
Surjivan prepares food fresh. Guests with special meal requirements are requested to inform the team in advance.

Cottage & Eco Care

Please keep wire-mesh cottage doors closed to minimise mosquitoes and flies.
Guests wishing to sit outdoors may use the lounge areas. For lawn seating, carrying personal mosquito repellent is recommended.
Being an eco-friendly resort, guests are requested to switch off air-conditioning when leaving their cottage.
If an AC is accidentally left running, resort staff may switch it off to conserve energy.
Surjivan's cottages are traditionally made with mud, an important part of the resort's identity. A small amount of natural dust may occasionally be present.
Please do not trample plants or climb on mud structures.
Damage caused to resort property, installations or equipment may be chargeable.

Activities & Safety

Play Safe • Enjoy Responsibly
Cricket, football and volleyball should be played only on designated lawns 4, 6, 7 and 8.
Heavy activity should be avoided on other landscaped resort lawns.
Adventure-course activities must only be undertaken under the supervision of a Surjivan instructor.
Parents and guardians are requested to ensure children do not use adventure equipment without supervision.
Many specialised activities are arranged externally as part of the resort concept, so requirements should be communicated well in advance.

Pet-Friendly Stay

Pet Friendly
Surjivan welcomes guests travelling with their pets.
Please inform the resort team about your pet before arrival so suitable arrangements can be confirmed.
Guests are requested to supervise their pets and ensure they do not inconvenience other guests or resort animals.
Current pet guidelines, permitted areas and any applicable arrangements should be confirmed at the time of reservation.

Guest Care & General

Guests are requested to take care of their personal belongings and supervise children at all times.
Resort staff are not permitted to provide oral medication to guests.
Parking is available at the vehicle owner's risk.
Guests should follow instructions provided by resort staff for safety and operational reasons.
Management is not responsible for accidental injury, loss or damage arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Right of admission is reserved.

Special meal requests, pet requirements, group accommodation, activity arrangements and other personalised needs are best shared with the Surjivan team in advance so suitable arrangements can be planned for your visit.

To serve you better and make your stay enjoyable, we request you to observe the following:

  • Day/ Night Package Check–in & Check–out time :12.00 noon to 12 noon next day
  • (Cottage check in-2.00pm)
  • Own Eatables, Drinks and any Service from outside is not allowed inside the premises.
  • Meal Timings:
    • Morning Tea : 7.00am – 7.30am
    • Breakfast : 8.30am – 9.30am
    • Lunch : 1.30pm – 2.30pm
    • Evening Tea : 4.00pm – 5.00pm
    • Dinner : 8.30pm – 9.30pm
  • All meals are served in Chaubara, the Dining Hall. For hygiene issues we do not serve eatables in the cottages. We serve bottled water from 20 ltr bottles placed over the water cooler. If you wish to have 1 ltr bottle, please buy @ Rs 25/ bottle.
  • Maids/Drivers will be provided accommodation and charged as per tariff. Unpaid drivers/attendants not allowed inside the premises.
  • Please keep the wire mesh doors closed all the time; leaving them open will invite mosquitoes & flies. To enjoy time outside the cottage pls sit in the lounge area under the fans. However, if you wish to sit in lawn pls carry your own mosquito repellent.
  • All ball games like Cricket, Football, and Volley Ball are to be played in lawn no 4,6,7 and 8 only and no heavy activity on the grass in the Resort area.
  • Please advise your family members not to trample plants or climb mud structures. Any damage caused to the property / installation / equipment etc is chargeable.
  • Being an eco- friendly resort we expect our guests to switch-off ACs, when they are not inside the cottage. In case they forget to do so our staff will do the needful.
  • Please appreciate our cottage are made of mud (our USP). Hence the possibility of dust cannot the fully ruled out.
  • We believe in serving you everything farm fresh. Unlike hotels/restaurants we do not keep readymade items and therefore request you to give us adequate notice.
  • Similarly most of the activities are out sourced as part of our concept hence, we request you to tell us your requirements well in advance.
  • Guests are advised not to undertake any activity in the ‘Adventure Course area’ on their own without the Resort Instructor as there are safety issues involved. Guests should also ensure that their children also do not do so.
  • As per guidelines issued by “Medical Council of India”; we are prohibited to give any oral medication to guests.
  • Guests are requested to take care of themselves specially their children and belongings. The management will not be responsible for any accident or injury or damage or loss caused due to any reason whatsoever.
  • Parking at owner’s risk.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the Resort.
